يدور العمل حول علاقة تجمع بين الطباخة الماهرة يوجين وبين الذواق المخضرم دودين، وكيف يُصبح عالم الطهي والطعام منفذًا لعلاقة حب غير عادية.

يتناول العمل قصة شخصية من شخصيات عالم (Shazam)، وهي بلاك آدم، وهو الرجل الذي وقف محايدًا ما بين كونه بطلًا أو شريرًا، كما أنه يتمتع بقدرات سحرية غير عادية.

في إطار من الرعب، تُعاني ماديسون من سلسلة من الأحلام والرؤى الغريبة والمرعبة عن جرائم قتل في أماكن تفرقة، ويزداد عذابها حينما تكتشف حدوث كل ما تراه من جرائم بالعالم الحقيقي.
